There is no international standard for tab width. Different editor has its own default setting. For example, in Windows, the notepad sets tab width as 8, while the Microsoft Visual Studio is in favor of 4. It would be nice to replace the tab with spaces so that the possible distortion could be averted when same source files are viewed by different programmers with various editors.

"tab" is a simple tool for this purpose.
