(Limerick Practice)
My mind is in a nebulous state at this moment. All of the sudden, I feel a pang of disorientation. I don't know what lies ahead for me. Everything I wished for seems in the far distance for the time being. The only thing I could do is probably trudge along, hoping that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
The future seems bleak. I know that I would probably wind up like this when I started out. But I chose to do this anyway, against all the best advices. I have to admit I am an opinionated man, but I would also argue that I am a defender of my dream, although that word is more ideological than practical most of the time. On top of that, what's the point of fulfilling that so-called dream? We are all bound to be gritty ashes no matter rich or poor, aren't we?
But what alternatives life could possibly offer if I did it differently 16 months ago, or even 27 months ago? I don't see how it would turn out any better for me in spite of what the conventional wisdom might suggest. Probably all of this had already been hard-wired into my life 12 years ago, or even 18 years ago.
